GAME DAY Field Setup / Breakdown
All Fields: General Setup
Arrive at least 30 minutes early (depends on age group and type of goals used)
Check field for general playing condition. Look for holes, puddles, unsafe conditions. Pick up trash or other impediments.
You should know the combo codes to the locks on your fields. If not, please refer to the the "Codes List" in BYGA Club Library -> Field Diagrams
Field Specific Setup (All coaches/teams playing the first games of the day are responsible for setup)
U6/U8 (Mautino): Mautino has 4x6 metal goals locked up at the opposite corners of the field. Retrieve and set up the goals for your field. Cones may be placed at the field corners, if desired. 2 game balls for each field are kept in the shed (Behind the Bathrooms). MAKE SURE THEY ARE PUMPED UP!
U10 (Scotten): Move goals into place on BLUE field if needed. Ensure wheels are up so goal cant role. Get corner flags from shed and place at the corner spots. 3 games balls for each field are kept in the shed (up the hill from bathrooms) MAKE SURE THEY ARE PUMPED UP!
U12/U14 (Sierra College): Put the goals in place if needed (Field 3 uses the large goal, Field 1 & 2 uses the smaller goals). Get corner flags from shed (next to parking lot) and place flags at the corner spots. 3 games balls for each field are kept in the shed.
Breakdown (All coaches/teams playing the last games of the day are responsible for breakdown. If no teams are waiting to play another game, assume you are the last game)
U6/U8 (Mautino): All goals must be carefully stacked and locked up at the opposites corners of the field (8 and 8). (These goals will disappear if not locked!). Return all cones and balls to the shed. LOCK SHED
U10 (Scotten): Return all cones/flags and balls to the shed. LOCK SHED
U12/U14 (Sierra College): Return all cones/flags and balls to the shed. Check field for trash or belongings. Pickup any trash and dispose in dumpster. Move misc belongings (water bottles/socks) off the field to a conspicuous location or place in shed (valuable items). LOCK SHED
ALL FIELDS: If you are the last one returning equipment or leaving the field, double check the locks on sheds/gear boxes. Ensure that any entry or divider gates are daisy chained and do not lock out other locks
Notify the Fields Coordinator of any field anomalies or if gear is missing, damaged or needs attention.
