FAQs

How old do you have to be to register to play recreational soccer?

Are the teams coed?

Can I request a friend or a coach?

My child is in multiple sports and activities. How can I be sure the practice schedule will work for us?

Can I coach my child?

"My child is small for their age." "My child has a disability." Can he/she play in a younger age bracket?

"My child is talented and wants to play up with their friends in an older age group."

Only in extremely rare circumstances do we allow players to "play up" an age group. You must contact the board for prior approval and be able to demonstrate the player has exceptional skill and readiness as well as include the permission of the coach who will be accepting the player in the older age group. Requests made here will not be considered and may not even be seen by our registrars!   Contact requests@goldcountrysoccer.org for more info.

What happens if we register for the rec league but tryout for a competitive team and are offered a spot on a comp team? Can we get a refund?

What is the recreational league uniform and do I need to purchase one?

If my child decides not to play, doesn't like their team assignment or can't make the practice times can we have a refund?

Do you have a financial aid program?

The goal of the Gold Country Soccer League is to help the youth in our community to learn to play and enjoy the game of soccer. Parents play an important role in achieving this. Not only do you get to drive them around to practices, games and other team functions, but you also get to model behaviors that will affect your children and everyone around you. We ask that read and agree to the following code of conduct as well as other policies:
